Jack White Will Take Your Money
It's all about market value my friends. This is Jack White. He makes music. He also makes 'rare and valuable' vinyl records for collectors. He used to sell them for 20 bucks. But then he found out people were selling them on ebay for 300. So now he sells them himself for 300 and cuts out the middle man. Clearly, the man is no socialist.
“Many artists in this position would complain about the greedy resellers and that would be the end of it,” Forbes’ Adam Ozimek writes.
“But White realized that 1) if customers want rare and valuable albums they will be expensive, 2) the market price will be reached no matter what they sell them for initially, and 3) if someone is going to profit it might as well be the creators,” he adds.
Instead keeping the price artificially low, White decided to auction the vinyls and let market demand dictate what people would pay for them. He soon discovered that people were willing to pay up to $300 for the privilege of owning a “rare” vinyl.
So whats the difference between this greedy bastard and the greedy bastards making crap shirts for Adolf Obama?
Jack White let the market determine the value of his swag. He didn't impose some ridiculous price tag on his product simply because he's Jack White, he let everyone else slap a ridiculous price tag on his stuff...mostly because he's Jack White.
Check him out. Jack White flips bird to socialists.

C'mon. We're winning. On a philosophical level.
Don't you get it? Our brainwashing techniques are beginning to succeed.

Does this mean we should put up our President for auction on ebay?

As long as e-bay accepts EBT cards, I don't see the problem.
