That's OK. If all Isaac gets are the Mittards, Ryandroids, Willaardvarks, and other GOPwonks and Mugwumps, it won't be a total loss.

Rotton networks. They're not going to broadcast Ann Romney's speech. I suppose MSNBC will just edit it for their special brand of hysterical analysis.

Um, Ron Paul will have about 900 committed delegates at the convention. The Repubs forgot to change all those caucus states to smoke filled rooms. They won't let that happen again.

Sunday night RP will tell his fans who to vote for. No matter what he says, MSNBC will call him a racist.

Of course not. The last time a political party let a bunch of people who should be committed run a convention, the Riechstag wound up being set on fire.

ITYM? What the fudge is ITYM?

    SPEAK ENGLISH YOU SWARTHY FOREIGNER!!!!

Anyway, I can't support Paul any more than I can Obama. They're both idealists. Idealists get people killed. If I can't support the one, then I sure as Hell can't support the other.

Further, you're watching the evolution of the convention. Romney will be nominated Monday (now Tuesday), the first day of the convention. It's essentially over after that. There is no reason for the delegates to hang out. It used to be that the convention was the place to tie up loose ends and forge new alliances. That way, when the presumed candidate accepted the parties nomination at the end of the week everyone was at least mollified, if not happy. Now? The whole process has been taken out of the peoples hands. This is a nonvention, not a convention.

    A.K.A. another d*mn gay rodeo.

ITYM means "I Think You Mean" you net newbie! I've been doin' this net thang since before there was a net and we had to write out our usenet posts longhand and walk through the snow to the post office. Twelve miles it was, and uphill both ways.

And for the record, Paul is easily the most reality-grounded politico on the national scene.

I was going to mix a helmet full of Zagreb shooters while I watch the convention. Well, you crapped all over that. Nonvention.

Maybe C-span will cover RP's retirement party.

They'll postpone that deal until the hurricane washes the Paulotangs away.

Honestly, did the 1980 convention feature a tribute to Jerry Ford? When Clinton was nominated, did he blow kisses to all the also rans? Fudge no. Since the convention is merely rubber stamping the nominee, the whole deal is supposed to be a giant infomercial about the candidate. Wasting valuable air time on captain kook dilutes the message. Sure, all those Paul delegates would love nothing better than to circumvent the will of the American voter and nominate their guy...who quit...and is a career politician...because all those delegates are out of touch with reality. But you can't cater to the cracked tea pot set and hope to come across with a clear message to the American public.

Fug man. Just go with a Ryan slideshow and call it a day.

Also: You like nonvention better than gay rodeo?
