    Diogenes Down!!!!

    Sunday, August 19, 2012
    I'm Still Here....
Sorry I haven't posted anything for my regular readers this week, but I have had a severe medical problem that has arisen and I haven't felt to much like Diogenes lately. I'll be back as soon as I feel better.

    Jan

I'm panicked. Should I panic? I feel like panicking.

Everyone please stop by and wish...Jan? Is that right? Jan. Really? Wish Jan well and a speedy recovery.

Jan/Diogenes - I wish you well and a speedy recovery.

(OK, it's not original but Burr said it best.)
"Remember: Evil exists because good men don't kill the government officials committing it." -- Kurt Hofmann.
"Any government that seeks to disarm the people is one that can and must be resisted through force of arms." -- William Norman Grigg
"The historical reality of the Second Amendment's protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants..." -- Andrew Napolitano

C'mon you lazy bastards. At least fake some empathy. Diogenes posts on our front page.

Granted, not often...but laziness is not a sin around here. In fact, I admire ol' Jan for completely disregarding this place for so long.

Wish I had the b*lls to do that.

Before you get your knickers in a twist, I went there, left some encouraging words.

    Sheesh.

I didn't see Aaron Burr over there....

Oh...well. I think I'm banned from that site.

"Wish I had the b*lls to do that." Are you implying something?

I wasn't implying anything. I thought I was being a very upfront, self depreciating smarmy bastard.

See, I could have ignored Diogenes completely, but choose not to because I genuinely care about Jan as a person. I don't give a fudge if he/she ever posts here again. I'm not that exploitative. My regard for Diogenes isn't based on what he/she can do for me and/or this website. I wish for Jan a speedy recovery and further internet adventures because even if I'm not a part of them, I still enjoy reading about them.

But yeah, if I wasn't such a ball less slave to this place I'd shut it down and go skateboarding in a heartbeat.

P.S. It's nice to see you back online as well. I was merely kidding when I said that your absence was probably due to a complete misunderstanding between yourself and the appellate court judge you allegedly threw a whiskey bottle at.

Actually I thought you were referring to the rest of us non posters.

So you're saying my brand of witty, faux humility didn't work on you? Hmmm. I bet I could guilt you into posting. You know, because we're all so lonely here, one of the last remaining bastions of freedom, culture and all the immortal intangibles that our forefathers died on the battlefield for.

In fact, by not posting here, it would seem probable that non posters are encouraging if not outright abetting, an eventual Communist takeover of this great nation and everything it stands for. Why anyone would want to enslave their fellow Americans and/or crush them under the heel of their boots as part of a Soviet style pogrom against decency and goodness is beyond me.

But, if that's the way non posters roll, there's not much I can do about it other than to keep my single lamp lit in the front window for wayward and abused Conservatives to find succor and shelter from the political tempest that howls at every door and window across the land.

Damned big of me, wouldn't you say?

But that's just how we toil and labor over here in thankless obscurity. We're all simply happy and grateful to have the opportunity to reach out across the aching void of time and space to make a human connection in this dim world full of artificial emotion and electronic feelings.

Aren't you glad to be a part of something so wondrous and captivating?

    I know I am.
