    Black People Can't Swim

By now you know Yahoo! fired it's Washington bureau news chief for saying that Romney is happy to party while black people drown....On live television. So in less than a week we've gone from God smiting the Republicans with a hurricane, to Republicans praying their way out of the hurricane, to Republicans planning their convention to coincide with the anniversary of Katrina, to Republicans celebrating the presumed drownings of black people in New Orleans...which, if you've been following the Demoncats line of reasoning, makes perfect sense. It makes sense because the Demoncats said that this hurricane was GODS WILL. So why wouldn't you celebrate your passing unscathed from Gods judgement while those who have angered the Lord get their just desserts? Wouldn't not partying make God angry?

But the bigger problem I have is with Chalians racist perception that black people can't swim. That's what he's saying. He specifically says "while black people drown". Why can't they swim? Are their hands full of crack pipes and fried chicken? I'm pretty sure I heard him say that after his on air comment.

Now, people like Gwen Ifill, are saying stuff like, "One mistake does not change this. David Chalian is Gods gift to political journalism."

Political pundits Gwen. Pundits. Possibly Gods gift to Republicans. But, as Dana Loesch so eloquently points out, "Chalian didn't make a mistake; he made a confession" He's confessing that he thinks black people can't swim...um...amongst other things.

Another achingly cute article by my not so secret crush, Dana Lowes..Loesh...oh Dana, were you mine, I would be able to spell your last name.

Anyway, at least we had last week off from all this racy racism and unembiggening bigotry. Guess it's back to the DNC playbook for the rest of the month.

Yes, I expect to hear more observations like "white people don't care" and "conservatives have no compassion" with the tacit belief that you can only show compassion and care by means of govt.

Personally, I care deeply and compassionately for anybody being fscked by the govt, and obviously the very last place I'd look for justice is to the govt.

So no opinion on what David Chalian thinks black people are holding onto that prevents them from swimming?

Well, you may well have nailed it with crack pipes and fried chicken, but other possibilities include:
    • It's damned hard to swim with a belt around your knees
    • It's damned hard to breathe when your head's dragged down by the weight of a 28-tooth gold-plated grille
    • It's damned hard to keep afloat if you refuse to let go of the flat screen TV you just looted
    • No one comes even though you keep tweeting "He'p! He'p me, mofo!" until your moblie shorts out

Next: Saying "Da Bears!" puts you on racist par with Joseph Mengele.

The link to the Chris Matthews story contain this double-plus-good item: Related Story: Chris Matthews lies about living in 'black majority' DC. Turns out Chrissy lives in Chevy Chase, a very white, very rich suburb - not in DC proper. I know that area well having worked in Chevy Chase for almost 10 years while living in Bethesda, the next town over. Not only does Chrissie live in Chevy Chase, he lives in Chevy Chase Village. The 2010 census says of the total population there of just under 2,000, only ten are black. That's about 0.5%. I love this snippet from the end of the article:
Quite a difference between that "black majority" city where Matthews claims he lives and the rarefied swath of suburbia he actually calls home, don't you think? Seeing how the man considers himself color blind, he's probably never noticed.
    Heh!

People? I'm beginning to believe those aren't people but rather DNC-programmed Chinese robots.
