AB, I don't quite see Johnson's and your arguments as being exactly the same, but that matters not. I reject both of them anyway. I'm no Libertarian [1], much less a Johnson fan, and I won't be wasting (or not wasting, or whatever) my vote on him.


1. I was quite a few years ago a member of the LP but when the national board was taken over by an unprincipled crew I went my own anarchic way. To think that the party of Harry Browne actually nominated Bob Barr...!

If Ron Paul were on the ballot I would probably vote for him, but not certainly. The reason for that is that his approach is the only one with any chance at all of undoing some of the hideous damage done to our society by govt metastasis over a very long time. My own position is that it is too late to undo enough of that damage from within the system to avoid a catastrophe in the near term (next, say, five years or so). But RP just might be able to push that out long enough that I'd be dead of old age before then, and that would be a good thing.

Five years give or take for a catastrophic failure of the .gov and the dollar goes right along with it I would assume? That doesn't leave much time to put the finishing touches on the EC militia to make our power play for the takeover when it goes bad.

Come on Al, throw us a bone here and vote Mitt for the money grab. All the firepower were going to need to stockpile even deeper is gonna cost a pile of coin.

You can have your own tank or sub or whatever when the time comes. Think of the payback opportunities under the right circumstances, you are planning to be around at least another five years I hope?
