    'Ween.

I know, I know. "Where the fudge' have you been Burr?" Well, unlike every other year, this year I got to take the little man trick or treating. He's 5. He went as a fireman. What I'm saying is that when you trick or treat with lil' people, you win. Hugely. I'm talking double fistfuls of candy shoved into his pumkin bucket because he looked so "cuuuuuuuute." However, his short lil' legs can't take him very far so we called it a night when he couldn't lift the bucket off the ground anymore.

Anyway, the main thing I wanted to mention was the cool way we trick or treat out here in banjo holler. We don't beg from our neighbors the way you city slickers do. What you do is find a neighbor with a low trailer. Throw in some hay bales and then load that thing to the gills with kidz. See, houses are so far away from each other that walking would only get you 3 or 4 houses. Riding in the back of a trailer with 20 other kidz all scoping the horizon for decorated houses makes it a real adventure. It looked like a blast. That will be fun in a few years.

And that's about it. We tricked, we treated and now it's off to bed. Unless youse guys have any amusing Halloween anecdotes yourselves. Fire away, I'm riveted.

Yea, gummy bears are popular with the old people down here in sunny Florida.

Sigh. The whole purpose of trick or treating is to case joints for later robbery. Old people = lot's of free meds. Jot down some likely addresses for future reference.

Good gravy. As if Fentanyl, morphine, and whiskey aren't enough for me.

I hope Jr. had a blast. And yes, they get a lot more candy when they're little for being so cute. Bonus if the costume is homemade.

Here in Vegas, it was too hot for even a light sweater. Halloween is just all wrong if your sweating while you trick-or-treat!

I agree. I miss the mountains in the NW. Not the people.
