    How relevant are politics?

Well, out with it my little nubile and slightly tipsy interns. Do politics actually matter anymore?

In a sense they don't matter, these yahoo's are going to do whatever they want- they think they're gods at this point. But I like to keep an eye at what there up to so I can at least light a candle at church. To bad Pelosi didn't give up calling herself a Catholic for Lent.

Yeah, there's a definite disconnect between the electorate and the elected. We used to share some common goals though. I wonder when that went out the window?

Well, it started with the Hamiltonians and reached high points with Abe, Wilson, and FDR. Those are merely relative maxima in an ever-increasing trend line.

    More human sacrifices.

My favorite pesky relative works in a gun store. They can't ship them in fast enough. Saturday customers line up three deep. Not enough ammo to go around. No time for lunch.

    What's it all coming to?

Definitely more human sacrifice. I hope that nobody suggests that the initial list of candidates might be found here, here, and here because that would be terribly, terribly wrong.

No, I mean the separation between the government as an entity, and the country as an entity seems to be morphing into something larger. As if the different roads each travel on takes them to different dimensions instead of different destinations. We used to say "government is out of touch" thinking that being in touch was what government wanted. Now, if government touches us, it's all elmo style and makes us uncomfortable and full of shame.

My point is that we're moving into a new phase of societal/governmental relations. An abusive relationship. And we're all playing Rhianna to governments Chris Brown.

And to that I say Hallelujah. Sort of. The road the govt is traveling leads to totalitarianism and the society's two paths are diverging: one towards liberty and one towards a persistent vegetative state.

Somehow I think the DOJ is working on the talking points for this too.

Forget that we can't buy ammo, thread is now at least $2 a spool and the cheapest I can find fabric is $4 a yard. Wal-mart and second hand is now cheaper than sewing. We'll all be wearing the Emperor's New Clothes in the new alternate reality they're creating.
