What? It's late. That's the best I could come up with. Don't fret. Soon enough there will be youtube clips of senator Rand Paul redefining epic.

No. No he doesn't. This may be the proverbial fork in the road for the American people and it's government.
You just heard a 12 hour peep from Dr. Batmans passably sane son. This is a non partisan issue. Neither the right nor the left wish to be droned to death while ordering a double latte. Coffee is obviously a hot button issue in America today.
Good for Rand!
Hey, everybody seems to be missing the big point by focusing on drone killings. The important thing isn't the drone, it's the killing. The now doubly-appropriately-named executive branch seems to believe it has the authority to kill us without anything resembling due process. If this doesn't make you say, "Yup, what we've got here is a police state and the govt is now treating us as subjects rather than citizens" then I just don't know what will. This also means that if you are one of those who bleats "We are the govt!" then you have suicidal tendencies and are a danger to yourself and others.
"Remember: Evil exists because good men don't kill the government officials committing it." -- Kurt Hofmann.
"Any government that seeks to disarm the people is one that can and must be resisted through force of arms." -- William Norman Grigg
"The historical reality of the Second Amendment's protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants..." -- Andrew Napolitano
I have always liked Rand more than is father and wanted Ron to take a seat and allow his son to try for the oval office. With all of the crony politics being practiced among both parties they are turning many people into libertarians and I see Rand's day coming soon.
As for drone kills, what caliber would you suggest for drone season?

Washington State was a police state years ago. They would set up road checks for seat belts and to make sure car seats were properly installed. If this doesn't make you say, "Yup, what we've got here is a police state and the govt is now treating us as subjects rather than citizens" then I just don't know what will.
So we're good until the claim we've started a civil war. Ain't that grand. It has come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: "Does the
President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in
combat on American soil?" The answer to that question is no.
Yes ma'am, AQL, but it goes beyond that. Holder says "combat" and we have to look at what Barky's (and his shrubby predecessor's, and his slick predecessor's) rules of engagement have been and just whom they consider "combatants." That can be anything from broadcast journalists (in the Balkans), to being a post-toddler pre-senile in the wrong zone (Iraq), to just sharing the DNA with someone else the govt killers don't approve of (Afghanistan).
Mealy-mouthed Holder said, in effect, "We can kill you if you are a combatant, and we get to decide who a combatant is, and we don't have to tell you our criteria."
...and people ask me why I'm an anarchist!

I wonder what those "combatants" did in that house that "blew up" couple of months ago?
