Buttman, I mean Bettman has a wet dream about hockey being a non violent family sport. Been trying to promote this BS ever since he became commissioner. He believes the sport is setting a bad example, I believe it's because when he was a senior in high school the Jr. High kids in gym class would stick he head in the toilet for a few flushes, give him a wedgie, and then latch his underwear to the top of a locker out of his reach. Plus "the Great One" doesn't like fighting, even though he had some of the best fighters/goons in history protecting him when he played.

As for the Cup, anyone but the rangers, Penguins, Crapitals, Flyers, or Sabres. Playoffs were out of the picture for my team in November, at least they racked up the most PIMs in the league.

Yes, indeed, I've been enjoying the Wings/Yotes games except for one thing - there's a severe shortage of pink ice, black eyes, back boards, defibrillator paddle deployments, and intonations of Last Rites. The NHL has become almost as namby-pamby as the LPGA or even the NFL. I mean, c'mon, what we have here are a bunch of heavily muscled aggressive and extremely competitive athletes moving at high speed on sharpened steel blades and carrying big sticks - and they almost always leave the ice under their own power. Fooey.
